San Antonio is the seventh largest city in the nation and a top tourism destination. Full of art, history, exquisite cuisine, and global culture, there’s no shortage of things to do in San Antonio. 

  1. Savor the flavors. San Antonio is the Culinary Capital of Texas®. In 2017, San Antonio became the second UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in the U.S. San Antonio boasts more than 4,000 restaurants throughout the city, including iconic restaurants as well as hidden gems. 

  1. Dive into the vibrant arts and culture scene. San Antonio is a melting pot of creativity, with numerous museums, art galleries, public art displays, and theaters that showcase more than 300 years of diverse Alamo City heritage.  

  2. Do not miss the River Walk. The 15-mile River Walk attracts tourists year-round. Visitors can enjoy Go Rio boat tours, shopping, museums, history, hiking and biking trails, and a variety of restaurants.  

  3. Visit the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Part of the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is home to the largest collection of Spanish colonial architecture in the United States.  

  4. Experience thrills at the many theme parks. San Antonio is the Theme Park Capital of Texas. Thrill seekers can enjoy exciting rides at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World & Aquatica San Antonio, and Morgan’s Wonderland. 

  5. Explore the Pearl District. Just north of downtown, Pearl is a dynamic neighborhood built around the historic Pearl Brewery, which operated from 1883 to 1999. Today, Pearl is home to dozens of unique culinary concepts, one-of-a-kind retail shops, weekend markets, the San Antonio campus of the Culinary Institute of America, and the award-winning Hotel Emma.  

  6. Stroll through Southtown. Perfect for urban exploring, Southtown encompasses a large creative community and is unique with a mix of artists, locally-owned bars, coffee shops, boutiques, and art galleries. It also includes King William, a Victorian-inspired neighborhood filled with history and charm.  

  7. Enjoy the nightlife scene. San Antonio has just as may options after the sun goes down. Catch a show at a theater, enjoy live music performances, dance the night away, or relax on a rooftop bar overlooking the city.
