Here are five of the sweetest date night spots in San Antonio, all serving up sweet treats for your sweetheart.
Isidore is one of San Antonio’s hottest new restaurants that will surely impress your date. Located inside Pullman Market at Pearl, this local spot takes you on a journey through Texas flavors. Of course, that trip for your taste buds ends with dessert! After indulging in main courses like raw oysters and wagyu steak, you can move on to the much-anticipated dessert menu. Current offerings include a refined take on s’mores and prickly pear cheesecake.
Ever wish you could have dessert first? Well, that is exactly what you’ll get at Nicosi. Also located at Pullman Market, Nicosi is a dessert bar that offers an intimate 8-course course tasting menu examining the sweet and savory flavors of desserts (and everything in between). You’ve never experienced a dessert course like this before. Every Nicosi experience is completely unique and top secret. That’s right; no phones are permitted, which means an uninterrupted date with you and your dessert (and your date).
Ice cream date or cocktail date? At Boozy Scoop Ice Cream, you can have the best of both worlds. Located in the Stone Oak neighborhood, Boozy Scoop is stacking scoops of alcohol-infused ice creams with flavors like chocolate peanut butter cup with Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey. So the question is, do you take your spirits in a cup or cone?
If your sweetheart has a sweet tooth, chances are they’d rather be surprised with a dozen cookies over a dozen roses. Bundteas is a local San Antonio bakery on the Westside serving up specialty cookies, bundt cakes, and sweet-brewed iced teas. Selections include funfetti and carrot bundt cakes, famous sea salt chocolate chip and churro cookies, and peachy and Texas-style iced teas.
Name a more romantic date than strolling the River Walk with a couple of ice cream cones. We’ll wait. Justin’s Ice Cream Company has been a date night staple along the San Antonio River Walk since 1981. Justin’s offers a variety of Italian ices, gelatos, and ice creams, including local-inspired flavors like “Fiesta,” mangonado, and Mexican vanilla. A scoop and a Go Rio riverboat cruise are sure to land you a second date.
Nothing says love like a handcrafted treat made with care. Pullman Market’s Sweets for Sweethearts menu offers a decadent selection of Valentine’s-inspired delights, from heart-shaped chocolate almond cookies with toasted meringue to double chocolate croissants with orange curd. Whether you’re indulging in an almond olive oil cake with blood orange glaze or savoring a strawberry & mascarpone croissant, these artisanal sweets are the perfect way to celebrate love. Grab a bundle of lavender sugar cookies and make this Valentine’s Day a little sweeter.
